- 68% from distressed neighborhoods or live in temporary or transitional housing
- 50% of youth on probation or with a criminal history
- 14% are with us regardless of how privileged they are because
WHAT WE ARE OFFERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF CREATIVE & INNOVATIVE THINKERS IS TRULY EXTRAORDINARY!
Youth Interactive’s approach is to foster entrepreneurship by creating youth led businesses based on the Arts. Vocational mentors from the arts and professional business mentors guide the development, but the students drive the process by creating their own companies, designing and making their own products and taking charge of sales and marketing. Their rewards are two-fold: keeping the dollar profits they generate, while also earning high school credits, internship credits or community hours. Along the way they learn the benefits of teamwork and leadership and discover through trial and error what works and what doesn’t in the real world. This powerful and real life entrepreneurial approach was until recently only offered to high achievers to build confidence, self-esteem and show students a path to success beyond school.
