Thank you to everyone who has stopped by to check out the new Creative Studio / Gallery at Youth Interactive. Starting next Saturday, November 1st, we will be featuring visiting artists. Please join us, get funky and creative! Our first visiting artist is Angela Holland.
Angela Holland is an abstract artist living in Santa Barbara. The imagery in her acrylic and mixed media work is playful and enchanting and derives from an intuitive process of layering paint and paper. She finds working in this way to be a curious and wonderful journey, both to see what will emerge in the work as well as to experience the feelings and memories that surface.
Angela has been an educator and family therapist for years and believes these experiences have served to deepen her art. She has studied with a number of fine Santa Barbara artist/teachers and was mentored by noted San Francisco painter Nicholas Wilton. A member of the Santa Barbara Art Association and the Abstract Act Collective, Angela’s work can currently be seen at the Jewish Community Center and at the Abstract Open show at the Faulkner Gallery. She regularly posts new work on her Facebook page, Angela Holland Art, and loves Pinterest!
